How is your week going?

With the wild political climate right now, I have been finding solace in the little happy
things in life – like my daughter’s love of foxes, and her giddy smile when she runs around
the playground helping her little fox enjoy the slide. It doesn’t help the mood that it’s been
rainy and we’ve been cooped up indoors for awhile. But this past week we got a SUNNY
break in the rain, and we went for it with a fun trip to the library for story time, reading with little friends, a romp on the playground and a lunchtime trip to Costco.

Since it wasn’t raining I finally felt justified in letting my daughter wear her new
fox socks I’d ordered online (sooo cute, right?) that needed to be worn with a dress.
So we bundled up in a thick denim long sleeved dress (new with tags from Thrift
Town: $2.99) and ran out into the sun!

To combat the chill, I have a bunch of cute beanies from Thrift Town for her (all under $2). The kid’s beanies are cute, but usually 20 bright colors, have a bunch of animals or patterns on them… I just wanted simple solid colors to mix and match with anything. So I bought cozy adult sized beanies, then simply measured her head and ran a simple stitch on the inside-back of the beanie so it would fit.

My whole outfit is comfy and thrifted as well (except the necklaces that were a gift).
Grey distressed jeans: $2.99 // cozy grey cardigan: $2.99 //
black tunic-tank: $1.99 // olive cargo jacket: $7.99 //
brown boots (not pictured): $3.99

We are lucky to have a playground on the same property
as the library so it’s a FUN day when we get to go.

Little black maryjane shoes were like-new at Thrift Town for $2.99
And we ALWAYS find fun books when thrifting. This one is a favorite
and only set me back $0.49. Perfect to have in my purse for shopping

BabyFox is a constant in our lives, and I’m always thankful to find things my daughter loves for less at Thrift Town. Everyone who meets her loves her sweet style and assumes
I spend a pretty penny to have her look pulled together and stylish. NOPE. Just smart shopping and an eye for possibility. 🙂

Hope you have a great week!
