Trend alert: Off the shoulder and ruffles!

You don’t have to shell out hundreds when you can spend less than $5 at a thrift store for that off the shoulder trend this season. This season I have been 110% obsessed with anything off the shoulder and ruffles. Both are huge hits for spring/summer and I just can’t get enough of both. There is something so elegant about an off the shoulder top or dress. Wear your hair up, put on a statement necklace, and you are money.

I’m not going to lie, I have been drooling over an off the shoulder blouse and dress from J Crew. But, paying $88 for a new blouse just doesn’t sit well with me. Perhaps I have been too spoiled by thrift or I just think $88 is WAY too much for a blouse! So what did I do? I went on a thrifting mission to find myself an off the shoulder blouse at Thrift Town! Not only did I find an adorable multi colored blouse, but I did it with the price tag of $3.99! Yep, you heard right. I mean, how stunning is this blouse?! Pairs well with my white pencil shirt and would also be adorable with a pair of high waisted skinny jeans.

Besides my off the shoulder obsession, I have also been gaga over ruffles. This H & M dress found at Thrift Town was only $2!!!!! I’m telling you, half off days at Thrift Town are like Christmas in June. I’ve never left disappointed. So.Much.Good.Stuff. So, when I saw this bright patterned one shouldered ruffled dress I knew it had my name on it. It goes beautifully with so many of my pieces! Pair it with turquoise, white, yellow!

The ruffle detail is stunning.

Ruffles aren’t just for clothes, they can be on shoes, too. These Nine West light pink sateen pumps have the most precious ruffles in the back and were ONLY $3.99!!!

This summer if you pick up any fun trend, please do yourself a fashionable favor and get an off the shoulder top or dress. Off the shoulder looks are flattering in just about everyone! Don’t forget that just because the trend is in stores doesn’t mean you can’t find it in your local thrift store. You don’t have to spend a lot to look on point and on trend!

If you have any thrift or style related questions please feel free to write! I love helping out all of my fellow thrift-a-nistas! 🙂

Until next time…

Love,
