DIY Comin’ in Clutch ~
||Clutch, Hand Bag Make-Over ||
This DIY project is so fun and super simple! It has endless possibilities and the outcome is really cute! I always go for the simple DIY projects that allow for a self added touch to the merchandise. The handbags and clutches at Thrift Town are over flowing and they couldn’t be cuter! They have all different styles purses from short handles, to long straps, to shoulder bags, backpacks and especially hand bags! Hand bags make the perfect pouch when you’re going out and don’t need to bring anything but your phone, lip gloss, and sunnies! They also make great bags for over night toilet trees or make up! Here are two make overs I cannot wait to share!
First style ~ Modern Vintage White Wash
- Acrylic or fabric paint ( needs to be permanent)
- Paint Brush
- Hand Bag
Paint the selected parts of your bag, make any design you want! Each bag and design will be different which makes this project very unique! I painted the top part white then took a paper towel and rubbed off part of the white paint so that the underneath material would show through. I like that the white brightens up the bag also adding texture and a contemporary look.
Second Style ~ Metallic Bohemian
- Fabric Paint
- Hand Bag
Choose a bag with a flat, wide surface to make designing easy! I love when I find a bag that has a simple, plain look because that leaves more room to get creative! I drew with the bottle of paint and created henna patterns and flowers. Get creative with this, draw anything!
