DIY Sewing Table Turned Bar Cart!
On Pinterest I found an adorable upcycle project that took an old sewing table and transformed it into a bar cart. I pinned that pin to my DIY board hoping that one day I would come across a sewing table at Thrift Town. I did. It was $12.99! Here’s what happened next…
After my ah-ha moment when I found the sewing table at Thrift Town, I headed to the housewares department to pick out all my fun accessories to use when staging the piece for my Thrifty Thursday segment on Good Day Sacramento. Once that was done, I headed home to raid my paint cabinet. I found the perfect shade of gray…and bonus is that it’s a chalk based paint, which required no prep work on the piece. I simply painted it with one coat.
Before painting, I did remove the top flaps of the sewing table where the sewing machine would actually pop out of from underneath. That allowed me to insert a roasting pan I planned to use as an ice bucket.
I removed three of the four spool hangers, keeping the top as it’s the perfect place to hang bar accessories and a hand towel.
Here’s a shot of the other cabinet door:
Check out the final result! Literally everything but the food and drinks came from Thrift Town!
